چکیده
Abstract Background Chondroblastoma (CB) is a rare, primary, benign bone tumor that commonly affects men aged 15–20 years. It usually detected in the epiphysis of long bones, such as proximal femur, humerus, and tibia. The patella an infrequent site. CB with secondary aneurysmal cyst (ABC) extremely rare patella, which can be easily confused other common tumors patella. Thus, it necessary to make right diagnosis get good outcome. Case presentation We have presented here case 30-year-old man who was suffering from anterior knee pain for past 6 months had aggravated 2 weeks before presentation. Osteolytic destruction could both his X-ray computed tomography (CT) examinations, while magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) fluid level. Accordingly, ABC presumed. diagnosed condition giant cell (GCT) and, accordingly, performed curettage inside focus region autogenous grafting following patient’s medical history, physical manifestations, results ancillary disease characteristics. However, intraoperative postoperative outcomes indicated histopathology consistent typical CB, suggesting definitive error diagnosis. patient finally along ABC. Conclusions Past studies demonstrated 3 commonest affecting are GCT, misdiagnosed GCT or Performing incision biopsy excision conducting histological examination may most effective method suspected

Chondroblastoma of the patella associated with an aneurysmal bone cyst.
Chondroblastoma is a rare, benign tumor of bone, accounting for about 1% of all bone tumor cases. It tends to affect the epiphyseal ends of long bones, most often in males during the first and second decades of life. It has well-characterized radiographic and histologic features but despite its histologically benign appearance a few cases of metastases have been reported. Local recurrences afte...
متن کاملSecondary Aneurysmal Bone Cyst Following Chondroblastoma of the Patella
Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is a rare benign cystic lesion of the bone that composes 1-2% of the entire bone tumors. Some are idiopathic, and some occur secondary to other tumors such as giant cell tumor and chondroblastoma. In this article, we report the clinical, radiographic, and histological findings of a secondary ABC following chondroblastoma of the patella with a review of the literature.
متن کاملChondroblastoma of the patella with aneurysmal bone cyst.
Chondroblastoma of the patella is rare. Aneurysmal bone cysts, which develop from a prior lesion such as a chondroblastoma, are seldom seen in the patella. The authors report a case of a 36-year-old man who presented with 2 years of right knee pain without calor, erythema, pain on palpation, or abnormal range of motion. Radiological studies suggested aneurysmal bone cyst. The lesion was excised...
متن کاملChondroblastoma with secondary aneurysmal bone cyst of the capitate.
Chondroblastoma is a benign tumor that typically arises in the epiphysis of a long bone. There have been only 2 reported cases of chondroblastoma involving the capitate. This is the first report of chondroblastoma with secondary aneurysmal bone cyst involving the capitate. A 33-year-old man presented with a 3-year history of pain and swelling of the right wrist. Radiography as well as computed ...
متن کاملANEURYSMAL BONE CYST ASSOCIATED WITH A PATHOLOGIC FRACTURE OF THE MANDIBLE: A CASE REPORT AND LITERATURE REVIEW
Pathologic fractures of the jaw are usually associated with aggressive, destructive lesions or malignant lesions of the jaws. Aneurysmal bone cysts (ABC) of the jaws are benign lesions which normally do not cause destruction to such an extent. This article reports a relatively aggressive ABC of the mandible in a 19 year-old male which destroyed the buccal and lingual cortices as well as th...
